Logo Contest
One of the goals of the Pentwater Artisan Learning Center (PALC) is to have students in the Pentwater School System, PALC members and other individuals approved by the PALC board of directors involved in the design of a PALC logo. The first step in accomplishing this goal is to request that the participants use their creativity to develop a logo for the PALC. The person or team that submits the selected logo will be recognized by the PALC board of directors, receive an annual membership(s) in the center and be credited as the logo designer going forward.
The PALC board of directors will judge and select the logo to be used by the center.
The
following criteria should be considered in developing and judging the logo
submittals:
q Submittals can be made by
individuals or teams made up of no more than three individuals.
q Logos should reflect the
mission of the PALC
To transfer knowledge:
· from Artisans to students who have the desire but do not have the experience,
· from Artisans to those with a small amount of experience, and
· from Artisan to Artisan
by
working at their specialties in a safe, clean, healthy environment; using safe
dependable equipment in a responsible manner. All of this will be accomplished
through mentoring and partnership.
q Logos should be a simple and
an easy to read design
q Logos should have a minimum
number of colors, but not more than 3 colors
q Logo should be scaleable,
(be able to be used in a large format like a building sign and small format
such as on a T-shirt and letter head)
Participants
in the logo contest are invited to visit the PALC during hours of operation to
become familiar with the center to help generate ideas for a logo.
