Old Golf Clubs
These clubs and the canvas 'Sunday bag' belonged to the first Commodore of the Pentwater Yacht Club. They were purchased by Jim and Ann Tierney, who had them professionally restored. The clubs are:
- No. 1 Wood, marked "Y925, PATD. JAN 26, 1926"
- Wood, probably No.2, marked "Bailey and Hines Special".
Bailey and Hines was a sporting goods store in Champaign, IL, for many years.
- Bronze-colored iron, wood shaft, marked "MASHIE 7, Amh(??), Harder than steel"
- Bronze-colored iron, wood shaft, marked "MID IRON 2, AMPCO METAL, Harder than steel"
- Putter, wood shaft, marked "PUTTER, Chrome plated, CHAS J KLEES CHICAGO"
The bag is tan canvas and brown leather, and is marked "THOS. E. WILSON&Co, INDESTRUCTO, MFG UNDER PAT. 6-12-1917
